To ensure a positive experience for all, we ask that every traveler adheres to the following Ethics and Expectations.

Respect

​We want your journey with Kismet Travel Company to be memorable for all the right reasons. A key part of this is fostering an environment of mutual respect—both among travelers and toward the people who host and guide us. We expect all travelers to treat our hosts—including hotel staff, local guides, drivers, and community members—with kindness and consideration. Respect is a two-way street, and our goal is to ensure that our presence is welcomed and appreciated wherever we go. We always want to be welcomed back.

 

Harassment & Bullying

Kismet Travel Company has a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination, harassment, or bullying of any kind. Travel is about learning, growing, and engaging with different customs and perspectives—this requires an open mind and a commitment to inclusivity.

 

Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:

  • Discrimination or harassment based on sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, age, or any other legally protected class.

  • Bullying, intimidation, teasing, malicious gossip, or victimization.

  • Negative stereotyping, insults, threats, or any form of verbal abuse.

  • Unwanted physical contact or any behavior that makes another traveler, host, or local feel unsafe or uncomfortable.​

If you experience or witness any violation of this Code of Conduct—whether by another traveler, a guide, or a host—you are encouraged to report it immediately to your trip leader. All reports will be handled promptly, discreetly, and with confidentiality to the fullest extent possible.

 

Our Commitment

Kismet Travel Company partners exclusively with reputable, ethical, and locally respected businesses in the destinations we visit. While we don’t anticipate issues, this Code of Conduct serves as a proactive measure to uphold the highest standards of respect and inclusivity.
